This is a Cowboy Action design for the .32/20 cartridge but it is also an excellent heavier choice for the .32 H&R Magnum. There have been variations on this design with some featuring a shoulder ridge above the crimp groove to prevent setback in .32/20. These problems were ultimately traced back to some Starline Brass that could not retain neck tension and crimp onto the bullet because the brass was softer. A change to a different brand of brass eliminated the problem. I believe that Starline now has the problem corrected. The crimp groove is deep molded and I have had no problems with this design for my customers. (RELOADING NOTE: Another factor to always examine if running into this problem on any pistol cartridges to check the expander button for proper size to insure proper neck tension.) This bullet when sized to .309 for a TC Contender has already been used in a successful hunt in which the hunter wanted to minimize damage to the pelt.
