This design was chosen over
the more common Magma design offered by everyone else based on the
recommendation of the late Walt Melander Of N.E.I. (Northeast Industrial molds).
Walt had done several custom pistol molds for me and was instrumental in
developing state of the art cast rifle designs including the famous DD designs.
Walt had chosen this design for me based on its proven
performance. Cast rifle bullets are much harder to get to shoot well than
pistols which are usually much more forgiving. Rarely does one design do well in
a broad number of rifles in a given caliber. This bullet is one of the rare
exceptions. Its performance has been exemplary.
The bullet is sized to .379 and features 3 lubrication
grooves. It is also available unlubed & unsized for those who need a larger
diameter bullet. It is also
available with a black powder lube for an additional up charge ( P.O.R.).
It is velocity rated to 2000 fps. The design works well in
lever action guns as well as single shots.
