.41 Magnum

    The .41 Magnum has become THE cult cartridge among magnum handgun shooters. Offering near .44 mag performance with about 25% less recoil and accuracy that may well be the very best of any traditional handgun cartridge the .41 has proven itself to be the Middle Magnum that could. If the .41 would have gotten itself established as the cartridge of choice for law enforcement (which it was designed for) I sincerely believe that it would still be seeing service to this day. As one writer put it best: "The .41 Magnum is as under appreciated as the .44 Magnum is overrated." The gun manufacturers periodically grace us with some short runs of guns in this caliber and there are certainly enough variations to satisfy your need including a lever action rifle in the wonderful caliber. I currently offer three bullets for the .41 with plans to introduce a 240-250 grain Thunderhead design later on. I may expand into other bullets as well as I am addicted to the cartridge myself.
