This is the
bullet that got me hooked on the .41 Magnum. A good friend showed up with a
tuned S&W model 57 with this bullet loaded over 12.5 grains of Blue Dot. At 25
yards shooting double action with iron sights I had no problem keeping all the
shots within a 1 inch orange paster. Being a dyed in the wool 1911 shooter from
my days with the sheriffs department and having no real need for revolvers at
that time I was, to say the least, stunned. The .41 Magnum may just be the most
accurate revolver cartridge of all time. Since that time I have purchased
several more various .41s and all are laser like in their shooting accuracy.
This is commonly reported by many other .41 shooters. Customers have reported 1
inch groups at 100 yards with this bullet through scoped handguns from a rest.
The design on this bullet is perfect. The Truncated Cone is self centering to
the forcing cone and is very aerodynamic along with balanced drive bands and the
bevel is cut extra long so in essence it is a boat tail design giving this
bullet superb long distance accuracy.
