A truly superb long distance bullet for the .44 caliber. Extremely aerodynamic and top notch accuracy makes the bullet of choice for silhouette shooters or anybody looking for accuracy at 200 yards or more. The Truncated Cone profile is self centering to the forcing cone providing much higher accuracy over semiwadcutter designs. For those individuals looking for a healthy load that is not abusive then this bullet with 20 to 22 grains max of IMR 4227 will give you velocity in the 1100 to 1200 FPS range with a level of accuracy that you have to see to believe. (One hole groups at 25 yards are common.) This load will give you single digit Standard Deviation. It requires a full crimp. May leave some unburned granules but it is normal and not problematic with this powder. (do not substitute H4227 as it is slower) For full power loads nothing beats 24 to 25 grains of WW296 or H110 for a velocity of 1500 FPS plus. Accuracy is still good but the IMR load is still better.
