The largest meplat .45/70 bullet available for reloading that will still feed and function thru a lever or bolt action rifle. A hunting design featuring a 12 BHN casting alloy with a silver base added to increase the strength and ductility of the alloy while providing expansion characteristics when driven from moderate to high velocities. Featuring three lubrication grooves and a gas check that has been chemically bonded and then crimped into place. This process provides a no fail capability of the bullet to withstand velocities to over 2100 fps. The crimp groove is molded in to provide a reliable crimping location for heavy loadings. The large meplat and heavy weight of the design provides tremendous bone breaking impact and devastating penetration power for any dangerous game.
