Referred to as a semi
spitzer the 530 grain Postell bullet is a blending of a roundnose and spitzer nose
configuration. The extra weight and its slightly better aerodynamics makes it a
good choice for long distance shooting. There are some who use this in the
.45/70 but the bullet does very well in the .45/110 and the .45/120 (even
though the 120 was never an official Sharps caliber). The four lubrication grooves
will hold plenty of lube.
This bullet is now cast in our 30 to 1 alloy (30 parts lead
to one part tin) for blackpowder use.
I also now provide this bullet in an as cast form without
lube and it does not need sizing for most applications.
Due to time and manufacturing constraints I can no longer
supply these bullets hand lubricated with the blackpowder lube.
I will provide a black powder lube with each order so that
you can easily pan or hand lube these bullets yourself for your application.
This will also allow me to lower the cost of these bullets, keep more of them in
stock and fill orders more quickly than before and the bullets will also arrive
in better condition without the soft BP lube being spread everywhere by the
shipping process.
